Youth Sex Trafficking Screening Toolkit
Posted
IOFA’s youth sex trafficking screening toolkit has been released. The following toolkit is designed to introduce OVW grantee agency staff to screening for sex trafficking among the youth they serve. This toolkit will provide agencies with a process for identifying youth who have experienced sex trafficking, and how to respond appropriately to get them the support and services they need.
Please bear in mind that identifying a sex trafficking situation may require significant time and rapport-building with youth. The needs of each individual should always be prioritized, and this assessment can and should be adapted in order to accommodate those needs.
